  1. air cel and wet cel lines are reasonably priced on the internet and are pretty durable, have used cortland lines in the past great lines but a tad expensive especially if they get stood on or burnt with a fag which has happened in the past :D

  2. Hi Dave as ff2 says SA have spooled boxes if set was a problem it would also be a problem whilst on your reel ,Yesterday Iused a wet cel line that had been on my reel for 4 years without use :) apart from taking it off the spool to wash it the night before it has had no maintenance no sign of set cast ok but it didnt catch any fish :)

  3. This question was triggered by Andy on another thread about the mispelling of his name does anyone know why there is this difference of spelling My wifes family name was McCartney my grandmothers was MacDonald

  4. will be cheaper for you to do it .wear gloves and eye protection. take out the old putty with a hacking knife or old chisel knock the glass outwards onto an old sheet .scrape every bit of putty out of the rebate.when measuring the glass measure across the rebates then deduct 5mm off the measurment for play .use metal casement putty to replace the glass try to do it when its dry otherwise the putty will not stickto the frame good luck ...rob ps whenyou are taking out the old putty keep the clips that are buried under the old putty these help hold the glass in the frame

    LOL @ Leon,

The 3rd link has this gem....

"I caught a 14lb mirror on a wine gum today"

    Priceless      :D        :D        :D

That was Wordbender, and he had! He'd coated it in some paste, I believe.

    Great days :D

Today I am gonna try to beat that by using a hook wrapped in wool with some bird feathers tied to it to try to catch a trout without a safety net

    :)
