My thoughts for the best possible result would be for a Clinton win and then her indictment, arrest, and conviction. She could (and probably would) be impeached and her Vice President would get the office.
That said, I voted for Trump - early vote since we will be fishing in Florida on election day. Lesser of two evils as it were.

I still prefer a phone to use for phoning, some texting, and that's about it except for a good weather app. For photos, I'm still much more comfortable with a decent point & shoot camera that wasn't expensive.
Modern phones have much better cameras than in the past but you will still pay quite a bit for a good phone that is loaded with bells you will never ring and whistles you will never blow. Leave those for the youngsters who live and die with how new and fancy their phone is.

It is a nuisance but we have 10-15 spammers join each week to post all sorts of nonsense and this way we can remove the spammer and his/her trash without bothering the members.

As you can tell, if you looked at my location, I'm quite a bit west of you but most of our members are somewhat more local.
Posts in the Coarse section will get more looks than here. Until you gain full membership, it may take a while before your posts are approved and become visible to the members, you will find a goodly number of UK (and ex-pat) members who will be interested in what you have to say.

True exploits of the various lifeboat services (from oar powered to the more modern Coast Guards) are often so incredible as to seem like badly written fiction even though they are very real. These are usually missions where the crews involved were both very skilled and very lucky.

Hell explained by a chemistry studentThe following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid-term examination. That will depend on the size/weight of fish you expect from the water(s) you are fishing and the water conditions. The ideal gear for fish to 10 pounds in largish open water would not be good for weedy, snaggy water or if you expected 30 pound fish from fast water.
Describe your usual waters and you will likely get suggestions that make sense for you.
The Wingham fishery for instance has largish bodies of fairly open water but areas of very rough bottom so abrasion resistant line is a good idea as is a rod that can deal with a small submarine but that same gear would mean a 10 pound fish would not be much fun to catch.

Capt. Mike - really looking forward to a few days out with you in early November (and glad we didn't book for early October this year since Hurricane Matthew decided that was a good time to visit). This should be a great trip and more exciting than usual with the uncertainty of what might be biting given the water conditions. You always seem to have a knack for putting us on fish.
Note to any UK anglers planning a trip to Florida and wanting a break from the family fun of Orlando (Disney and the like), he offers a nice break from all of that and an inshore fishing trip that will be fun for the whole family regardless of their level of angling experience. A 3-4 kilo redfish in shallow water on light tackle is a real treat.
I use mostly lures but my wife prefers live shrimp and always catches more fish than I do.

I cannot recommend a specific brand of rod - wrong side of the pond to know what is available over there. Also, a good lure rod for pike is not likely to be the same as a good lure rod for perch. However, it should be possible to give you the general characteristics you will need to look for.
- Would you prefer fixed spool or multiplier?
- What weight range of lures will you be using?
- Will you need to worry about pin-point accuracy or is casting distance more important?
- Do you tend to treat rods very gently or do you need durability? Glass fibre is more robust but graphite is more sensitive and carbon fibre (a composite of the two) can be a good compromise between the two. Personally I'd tend toward glass fibre for pike and graphite for perch.
