One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in a very sexy nightie. "Tie me up," she purred, "and you can do anything you want."
So he tied her up and went fishing.

Wow, very impressive. How big are those moths?
This chipmunk has been helping himself to the bird food lately.

No one bothered to photograph the tree because the only damage it sustained was some bark skinned from its hide. And I'm not driving 75 miles to do it.
Another photo. You're right, Chevin, a right-hand drive would have killed him. That tire on the ground was ripped from the right front on impact. No more driving for dear-old dad. They've already revoked his drivers license.

It's oak-ay chesters.
A lucky escape severus, I'm glad he's alright.
That looks like some colision force, did they say what speed he had reached?
Or is it that the 'crumple zone' makes the damage look more spectacular?
John.
I heard one estimate of up to 70 mph, but that's just speculative since no one witnessed the crash except him. And I doubt that he had time to check his speed.
I'll see if I can obtain a photo of the tree.

My wife's 76 year-old father hit an oak tree a few days ago with his Buick. They think he hit the gas instead of the brake and accelerated into the woods adjacent to his driveway. Anyhow, here's the wreck, which was formerly a nice car. And him? He suffered a few abrasions and got a concussion out of the deal, which is a testament to how well air safety bags really work. I doubt that he would have survived the crash without one.

Great shots, Snatcher, especially the ones of the gardens. Very interesting. I haven't the foggiest idea what the dog's name is.

Hello friends. I saw the first hummingbird of the season today at my feeder here in Michigan, USA. Then this pair of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks showed up for a bite of suet. She looked a bit worn-out I believe from a long migration from the tropics and spent a long while dining.
I hope they hang around. They have a great song much like an American Robin's but much better - you may hear their song here. Great to see them once again.

Nice eye candy, Judy.
I'm growing salvias and morning glories this year in an attempt to attract more hummingbirds to my porch. They should show up soon.

That's Cedar Point Amusement Park on Lake Erie, about 5 hours east of me. I should go there. NOT.

Well, it's still May Day here so the birthday fete is not yet over. So here's to AN, Elton, and all the members, including those no longer with us. CHEERS!!

I want that!

Draping one over a claymore mine and detonating the mine did a nice job of it, I might add.
Why, you wouldn't destroy government property like that, would you, Newt?

Ugh. Methinks you've been in a carp accident and hit your head, Fred. Better call a sturgeon.

Mike Royko was indeed a good writer and columnist. One of the best.

Well, the game went about how I thought it would. UNC certainly left no doubt as to which team was better, and they earned their trophy. What a machine they were in the first half. They were outstanding.

What we here in the states call March Madness - the annual NCAA college basketball tournament to decide the national champion - is nearly over. The 64-team field has been winnowed down to two teams, one from the University of North Carolina, and the other from Michigan State University.
Newt and Jan should be rooting for UNC tomorrow night, while I will be hoping for a MSU win. UNC crushed MSU by 35 points back in December, though, and are favored to do it again. They probably will, but it should be a great game regardless who wins. This is the only time of year I watch b-ball because it's so good, they play their hearts out.
So Newt and Jan, good luck. NOT.
