  4. Hi GB How has lochryan been fishing lately??? I hope beter than it was last year! :)

The videos wont work on my 'Puter :( Infact not just the links above, Any vidio clip from any site wont work on this old PC of mine

  5. Does anyone know what the weekend will cost in total??? It looked abit touch in go for me for a bit not having great funds but i think ill manage, just! Itl be a long week of working for my parents :D I wish my birthday was this week instead of next,

Sounds good peter, As you say just need to hear from Nick, Norrie will let me know today how he is getting on...

  6. It a hard one to assess Whatsinaname...I was using short snoods as i had hear that small snoods will help to hook shy feeding cod, Tho in the instance my friend thaught beter to gpo for a reaaly long snood so the fish felt very little resisntance, HE leaned his rod on the tripod on a way that at the slightest indication of a fish he could swoop and strike in one action dead quike so probably just the same effect as holding the rod,

Strange feeding that night Definetely finiky..And they were veery well fed.. belies where realy bulgey... They hit the baits hard but only for an instant but spat it back out just as quikly, So for realy finiky well fed fish, i havnt a clea, Has to be iether realy long or realy short snoods, Oh and by baits we had been using big shelfish cocktails all night, 4/0 pennels, To get the fish that was changed to a size 1/0 and a single lugworm bit tipped with e realy small quater of crab, did the rtrick,

So its not just the red cod with worms, Do the fresh runners hav em also????

  7. Right youve been warned, anyone not wanting to be pput of yer dinner look away now........

Many science folks have told me that the redcod are full of worms, and i found this out after trying a few, Theres nothing wrong with the meat at all, and the worms wont harm you, (if the fish is cooked properly!!!!)

Apparently...The cycle goes round because of the redcod in the kelp feeding on crab.... The crabs have the worm larvea in them, the cod eat the crabs, worm hatches out into red cod and livs in the gut/flesh, The redcod goes and gets eatin by a seal, The worms breed in the seal, The seal sh*ts out the worms young in its feasus, The crabs eat the seal sh*t... Then so on

Thats what ive been told anyway.. Tho i realy donno how acurate this is.. One of my friends has eaten many a redcd which have been absolutely fine anyway... Though the nice fresh yellowy golden winter cod are clean as anything, I dont eat much fish nowadays anyway, most goes back...

  8. Abit off topic sorry... Ever cut open there stomachs/entestine when/or just after fishing??? Ok its not apealing i know... One time i was fishing in a match up north of montrose/NE scotland, And it was hard going, It was apparent that we had made it maybe a day or two too late! We where getting hammering savage takes from cod that would just ping the rodtip back up again after this attack only about 2 seconds later and the fish wowuld just leave it there on after, This happened fruequently, My friend started using realy small baits on size 1/0 hooks and held the rod and struck emmedietly and had 3 nice cod in about half an hour doing so, And i can tell you ive never seen such lip hooked fish ever!

These fish where absolutely stuffed to the max!!(having just been a good blow)

We ripped open there somachs and found all sorts of stuff, Numerous squat lobsters, prawns, mushed up fish, Quite a few wholw hardback cabs and even an anemone,

    It was quite interesting realy..

Sorry for that just felt the need since the toppic was about cod guts, As you metioned due to the stench checking there recent diet isnt something i do often

I never take the red ones anymore..Not just because of stinky guts i have other reasons also Not goin to put anyone else off tho..

  10. Hi Mike, That bait sounds perfect, Those cod realy have greedy habits, Eating up everything and anything if there hungry,

I dont mean to insult you in any way so dont take this the wrong way... Would you like me to tie up a few riigs for you to use on sunday??? I dont know about you but when i was a beginer i found all this cod fishing lark very hard to grasp and certainly rigs had a grreat part to play in succses  I still need 2 do alot of tweaking judjing by m last winters succsess, its all a work in progress

I apreciate i still have to find out times etc, Ill be as quik as i can :)

  11. Can somebody please help me, I ainty the foggiest clue how to get pictures up on here,

If anyone can explain it would be greatly appreciated,

Cmon ive got some superb piccs of the lads that need shown to all :)

  12. True

It aint that i get knakered or sorre as much, Its just that im useless! I used 2 go with these lads who laughed at my haul of lug, would get 30-40 in an hour comparted to thos with 100, i just dont seem to get thee technuiqe of trenching right!, The only time ive had any succsess is when there there truly thick on the ground which isnt often,

  13. I do often wonder when you are on a beack or rock/pier mark with alot of anglers on it and about the 1st 50 yards of water is illuminated with lights that look like prison spotlights,l I have to confess to bieng one of the culprits but will watch wwhere my light shines in future!

  14. Im going to ask a guy whoes going from edinburgh reeeealy niely and se what he says :) Shaun,

Im gonna go get my bait sorted out 2day,
