So...virus scan, spybot and adaware scan, and make sure you have a firewall - if the program asks for internet access, dont allow it.

You could always get the Firefox browser and get rid of Ad-aware and spybot. Touch wood, I haven't had one bit of spyware since i started using Firefox.

You could try "ctrl alt delete" and look which process(es) are using up most of the CPU time.

It sounds like the graphics card you have doesn't support DirectX 9. And of course, more RAM will make the game run better once it actually works.

 

Infact, just looked now and it needs 256 RAM.
