I rarely fish locally these days......The few times Ive been off the Drive and the pier I have caught nish I have yet to catch a fish of worth within 5 miles of home. There was a good bag caught at Jacksons Bay last week though I heard, codling that is not whiting , I always seem to miss the decent conditions working these poxy shifts...........

Ive had decent bags of Whiting from reighton ........I assume thats where ya meant BC

To be honest 2000 seems fairly disappointing to me. The circulation of the fishing mags alone must be greater than that so saying people didnt know is no excuse There must be 100 or more purely from this forum who have no excuse for not writing in, thats assuming that they backed the proposals though if they didnt they would still hve responded even to declare their opposition

I have the MFA Dual halogen and led model.....It is still going strong after 2 years. I use 4 AA NiMh batteries in it that give approx 6 hours of continous halogen use and about 24 hours led. The halogen doesnt give off a massive beam like some lights I have seen but it is more than adequate for getting me across the rocks to where im fishing then I use the led's

Nope no Balaclava.....I guess it was my adonis lke physique and maybe my dog I had with me tho he said it wasnt really like your dog at all close up I thought id see how many worms I could dig at Stoope Beck but ended up at Boggle Hole and almost at RHB. Had some decent fat worms there today...there were a few small whites but nothing to shout about I see what ya mean about trenching now ............its easy as pie

Well I found a better spot wih plenty casts and managed enough worms to sink a small battleship Much better when there are actually worms there to dig for I saw a friend of yours Winter....He was waving at me in the distance cause he thought I was you :P

would you stop Binatone? The amount of fish an entire army of anglers might catch on one beach in a night doesnt get close to one trawl of your nets. And thats if they are all kept.......so many anglers release much of what they catch these days.....me included, though I do keep one or 2 .....At least we release the fish that are undersize. What do you do with them? And in answer to your question.......Its a tough one. I know lots of people vastly more cod fishing hardened than i could hope to be who would take a lot of convincing but if it were to be policed and there was a guarantee this applied to all fishing for cod by all methods to protect the stocks what choice would they have???? But yes I think I could sacrifice 3 years not fishing for cod there are other fish about........

Ive added smoothhound to the list of fish I want to have a go for this summer......some good hound marks not far from me i hear.....Im gonna pick macky's brains closer to the time
