I bought a set of Micron M's about 3-4 years ago, never had any problems with them at all. Completely waterproof, unlike some other cheap alarms, and battery life is very good. I've only had to change mine once, and that was recently - or maybe that's because I don't get many runs!! They may not be as sensitive as some of the more expensive alarms but for about £20 they're a bargain. Chris.

Thanks for the advice Julian, Yeah, I'm just up the road in Macc. I've not been out fishing that much recently while I've been at uni, but when I'm back I tend to fish a place in Gawsworth, and occasionally Moreton, in Congleton or Home Farm Fisheries in Alsager. I'm in my final year at uni now though, so I'm thinking of joining Stoke Anglers next year. Looking around at Capesthorne I'm very tempted by the Top Pool!! it seems like the perfect carp water, and it's only a 5 min drive away!! Chris

Thanks for the replies. I need the brolly for quick overnighters and day sessions, I can still use my Cypry Dome if I'm staying longer or if the weather's a nightmare. I want to be a bit more mobile than I am at the moment, the Cypry Dome is great when it's up but takes a while to put up. I'll probably get an overwrap to cover the front and help prevent condensation, but to begin with I think I'll see if I can persuade my Cypry outer skin to do the job!! with any luck it will be the right size!! Hi guys, i'm new on the board and thinking about getting myself a new oval brolly or a bivvy that's quick to set up - i'm getting fed up kneeling in the mud threading poles on my cypry dome!! I've been looking at the new Fishrite brolly, it looks good value, has anyone used it? Fishrite XS Oval Brolly I don't really want to spend more than a ton - anyone got any suggestions?
