  3. Hi Chris, I was singing your praises again the other day as my mate was freezing and wet while i was warm and dry. I have to be honest and say that no one has ever asked to buy tickets before. I will speak to the other organisers. Either way the the way it works is for every £20 sponsorship raised you get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize. Thing is people need to be there on the day to take the prize away as any postage would loose the charitys money. Like i say, will talk to the guys and post back. Cheers mate Sean

Im photographing the trophy on Friday and will post up here what your fishing for. Keep those sponsors comming. Also we have a couple of odd prizes donated, but prizes nonetheless. 7. Hi Simon, The Paddle Round the Pier is a huge watersports charity fundraising event that i co-organise here in Sussex. For the first time we have made it a beach festival. We raise money for the RNLI, The Rockinghorse Appeal (local childrens hospital) and SurfAid International. There are many events held over the weekend and full details can be seen at www.paddleroundthepier.com including a video from last years event. I invented the Beach Fishing Open for this year as a way of incorporating anglers like myself into the fun and raising more charity funds. The reason i posted details in the yak forum is that the top prize in the raffle is a brand new Perception Fishing yak (See poster on the photograph. I thought some of you guys would like to win a shiney new bit of kit. Hope this helps UWI

  22. Ok everyone, its got to the point where i need some help organising the competition. I need someone RELIABLE who can come to a couple of meetings in the lead up to the event, call the tackle shops (as well as me) to grab some more prize donations and run the event on the night. I have the rest of the entire charity event to organise as well as the water safety. Any takers??? Please call me on 07917 410332 for more info. Thanks in advance SDC (currently grovelling on bended knee)
  23. Evening all, Our club has adopted the Teenage Cancer Trust. We have raised a grand for them so far. The young lady who came to Brighton from the TCT last weekend was not only beautiful, smart and dedicated but also a survivor of cancer at such a young age. A proper inspiration. Details at the link below. http://www.shorehamangling.co.uk/sas/news.htm Cheers SDC
