Nice one, any idea when his wireless ones will be out ? I don't want to replace my current ones really until the wireless versions are available.
I'm in exactly the same position, wanting new ones but waiting till the GF wireless are launched before I part with some hard earned
-
Well if folk are quick enough I guess there'll be a few local waters get a surprise top up of prime breeding stock almost overnight
-
Nice looking boat, is this the same fellow that had the Maggie May
-
Nice little fishery this one in a very nice part of the world
-
Thats a result then, keep bringing this back and updating it, not too many projects like this one running so best of luck and hope you make plenty of future anglers
-
Nice one, hope it works well for you
One comment might be to up your adult day tickets to a fiver and reduce your membership fee to 20/25 quid plus joining fee, might make more folk take out membership instead of fishing the occasional day ticket
-
Maxime 1lb is very good, when I struggle to get it I use drennan in 1lb, I'll have a look in my local shop and see whats available
-
Got to be a good day out and at that price I hope you get a good turn out, just a little too far for me or I would have been tempted
Glad to see the organisors recognising todays economic malaise and dropping prices to encourage anglers and their families to have a day out
Have you set up a hecklers corner, at that price its cheap enough if Daniel wants to chance his arm in the lions den, you never know you might get a visitor (fat chance or no chance)

Already said how difficult it is to keep up with your 40lb plus fish from Wingham and now you do it again, that's got to be some fishery you run down there Steve
A big well done not just to the anglers concerned but also to everyone who works or helps out at Wingham
-
. You seem to live in some sort of bubble
I guess that's preferable to living in the bottle
-
What a fishery, these 40lb Wingham carp topics are taking some keeping up with

The Angling Trust is launching a new initiative to encourage more scouts to try fishing and get their angling badge by teaming up with its member clubs and fisheries to provide coaching to scout troops.

I think thats just about got to be the best initiative That the AT has come up with to date, if we can't get kids who are interested in the great outdoors interested in fishing then the future of the sport will be in big trouble.
I do hope that that they have great success with this one
-
Then you'll be the only one
You never miss a trick when it comes to hijacking topics or ruining threads do you?
-
For the fish you describe, its more than adequate
-
So the big question is, will the Wingham Whacker go 50 then?, from what you say it looks like its got every chance
-
Wonder how the Ea will deal with the aftermath of the incident given that the white claw is on its endangered species list, will there be a big big insurance payout to cover restocking and cleaning of habitat or will they just stock a few brownies in and call it a draw
Over to the legal eagles me thinks

They certainly are, the owner of GF Alarms, Phil , posts on here, he's advertising some gear for sale in the classified section

Boyes are doing 700 gramme tins of hemp for £2:49 Carp Vader brand
Available in natural, aniseed and chilli flavours, think I might have to get a few tins in at that price
-
Does this mean we should start panic buying tins of hemp?
Yes, even if its just to use the tin to store petrol in
-
Dynamite Baits have been bought out by Shimano and all of their prices to tackle shops have gone up overnight, halibut pellets have hit new highs and as already mentioned the price of hemp is crackers.
Raw hemp even at wholesale prices is on the up and even at wholesale there's a lot of suppliers who won't give a price unless you're looking to buy right now or within a couple of days, it seems that the world price for hemp is going up and up and up so its getting reflected twice in price rises in the pre processed stuff like Dynamite sells
Not sure where it'll end but sales of Dynamite must be suffering as anglers switch to other brands
Don't blame the tackle shops for any increase in price, its out of their control and they're just as p*ssed off about it as the rest of us are

Whats the odds on a 4 cylinder water cooled Duke engine in an Audi pretty soon

Hi I have heard the govornment still want to go ahead with the high speed rail link that will spoil the countryside and the great SAVAY LAKE as the proposed rail link will involve a massive bridge across this historic lake - Please sign this petition and try to save it.
"You may remember the petition that was in circulation late last year to save Savay Lake… well, Savay needs your help once again as the government has just done a u-turn on the HS2 (High Speed Rail) petition and said it is invalid. Therefore for the petition to be recognised it must be signed on a government e-petition, which means we need you to sign the petition on the link below."
Without wishing to make comment directly about Savay lake, is this just a ruse by the Government to ignore those petitions it does'nt like and steamroller opinion

Have you looked at the Mustad Long Point range, fine wire available in the smaller sizes and the longer shank gives you enough room to pinch a largish piece of flake on without masking the hook
-
Well you've lost me, if that was an attempt at humour, well lets just say it did'nt quite cross the water
Jusst for the record, I'm not after saving anything much less the world
