  1. Paul I'm looking forward to coming up for the Summer Boat Fishing Festival, so save a few for me.

Why not give us a tease, possibly some cropped photos, just showing the fisheez tails. :headhurt:

It's good to know that it's still possible to catch a double figured fish, with Rod n Line, without killing hundreds of likkle fish first, in a net.

  2. We fish with Pat twice, in a year, what is the difference with fishing from a boat like Channel Chieftain,

Offshore Rebel,Tiger Lily and the likes of Flamer, if they carry the same number of anglers.

Someone out there's got a chip on their shoulder, what difference does it make what size of fishing platform we anglers dangle our tackle off.

The person, or persons, who made the decision not to be able to fish inside the 6 mile limit, from a charter boat of that size, should be made to walk the plank into the Portland Race. ;)

  3. Luv it, luv it :D I'm missing the boat trips and woun't be out again untill July, so keep these videos coming.

Looks like you lads had a very good day, never been to the graveyard myself, well done to all.

WILDCARD looks like great boat to be on, good luck with the other wrecks, you may just pull up that monster Cod we're all after. :o

  4. Sad loss but John would say carry on fishing.

We'll all miss him, but he does leave us with some good memories, I'm sure he'll be hauling some PBs, and laughing from above at us poor mortal Blankers.

    Bon Voyage.

  5. Its nice looking like shimano are going to be the tackle sponsors this year they they allready pledged support.

    paul.

Again I'll be bringing a top set of lads, (Desford Sea Angling Society), to enjoy a great days fishing onboard Paul Eddons boat `TROT-ON`.

For those who've not fished Whitby's Summer Boat Fishing Festival, get yourselves there. We have never been dissapointed with are catch of prime Cod. Saying that we've never won with our catches, but the Fish that have won, were there to be caught by anyone.

That's what's great about The Whitby's Summer Boat Fishing Festival, but you have to be in it to win it.

See you in the Cafe (First Saturday of July) at 6am BC, your round :- Large mug/white & no suger. ;)

  6. Nice one Ken  BUT how light is traveling light. As you've pointed out you forgot a couple of things and had to walk back to the car. I hope some of the lads n lasses, on here, give us some idea of what are essentials on trips like this.

Nice Bass, just right size for a good meal. :)

  7. I have been one of the lucky ones to have been taught the art of Uptiding from John Rawle.

He's not just a good skipper but a great teacher. In the 90s I did my first uptiding boat trip, not knowing what to expect. An hour spent just listening to John gave me the confidence to cast from a boat in the right direction.

Setting the wired weight, bow in the line, then laying the rod to rest. Yes the fish does the rest, takes the bait and sets the hook. At this point the sport starts, playing the fish, is great fun. My first fish uptiding was a 9lb Smoothound, thanks to John Rawle sharing his experiences with me.

  8. Great to see something like that.

I've got a copy of the video, off Paul, he's asked me if I can get a piccie off it.

This is where I need help !!! What software programme do I need to achive this ???

    Any help will be appreciated
