Hi Peter
Who is the maufacturer of these Osprey Multiplier reels.
There is a lot of baitcaster reels about, I personaly would like a Left Handed, Low Profile, Magnetic, Levelwind Baitcaster.
When it comes to using my left and right hands I have no problem holding a boat rod in my left and turning the Multiplier with my right. I could not do that with a Spinning/Lure Rod. I need to hold the rod in my right, where I could work the lure, but wind the reel with my left. (If that makes sense)
How do others do it

Hi jimlad
Yes, I've got to agree using the thumb is the easy option.
A couple of tips, when you first catch the fish, use you filleting knife to slice into the back of the head, then holding the body of the fish pull the head down and tug. The head leaves the body with the insides.
Next do as Jimlad does then with a pair of scissors cut down either side of the back of the fish to remove back fins and small bones. Check the fillets and if there is any pin bones, remove with a pair of tweezers.
Job done, a pair of clean boned Mackerel fillets.
After a couple of goes it will become easy.

Cheers Newt, Part (Most) of the answer I was looking for.
I think it will be a few years though before we see anglers on this part of the coastline again.
Scarborough Bait n Tackle shops must be suffering

On Saturday we had a run round Marine Drive to see who was fishing
What are they doing, great precast concrete blocks, new sea defences maybe, but can anyone give a report on what the future holds for this once prime spot for rock and shore fishermen

Hi BV
Is there any restrictions on how close you get to those fans.
You'll have to take your camera on every trip as you don't know what's gona be pulled up these days.

Just the Ticket
We stayed in a pay n display car park, where we payed the fee. This was before registration on the ticket was required.
One of the members on our fishing trip was the clever dick and didn't pay the fee.
Days later he received a letter with a £50 parking fine for not paying n displaying.
I offered him my ticket, still on my motors windscreen. Which he sent off, later to receive a letter of apology and was let off the £50 fine.
I did not get a thank you or a Pint, do you have a clever dick in your group who thinks he's it.

Ingoldmells Tackle Shop will supply you with your needs.
Ingoldmells Village is on the A52, between Skegness & Chaple St.Leonards.
Good fishing from the beach at Chaple Point, Moggs Eye and Huttoft.
These can be found on the Sea Road, heading North out of Chaple St.Leonards towards Sutton on Sea.

Well Done Alan
It looks good, now you can prepare for those fishing days afloat, which you though were lost.
I'm looking forward to some fantastic reports and photos to back them up.
Maybe with a bit of positive thinking, some if not all on this forum, will get a chance to share a fishing experience, onboard with you Skipper.

-
This time of the year you will have to scratch to catch.
Local knowlege, ask, ask, and ask again. Time will come when you do catch, then the positive thinking will return. Don't give up, as your going through a blank period, the knocks will come but on the end of your rod.
I'm Looking foward to your successful fishing reports.

I received a letter today from Sea Angler informing me that I'd won a place on one of their Penn Species Hunts.
Details are to follow.
The trip will be in August on John Rawle's boat Kingfisher 2, out of Bradwell, Essex.
Am I excited or what.
