  1. Hi Ken, silly as it may sound, do you need a right or left handed rod.

With a conventional beachcasting rod I hold the road with my left hand and wind in using my right hand. Using a Multiplier Reel Therefore I'm using a right handed reel.

If I was using a light rod, for spinning etc, I'd beholding the rod in my right hand. For that reason I'd find flicking the rod right handed, leaving my left hand to wind the reel.

I was in the same thought as you L or R handed bait caster, I bought both.

Holding the rod in my right hand, with a left handed baitcasting reel on the top, was very comfortable and feels the natural combination for me.

:clap2: I've checked with Mike and it still exists but more of a drinking club than angling club now. The pool table is still there, you'll be pleased to hear. :clap2:

Cheers for that Norm, for anyone heading to Dartmouth, the club is well worth a visit.

  3. Majik Norman, brings back the memories of many happy hours fishing out of Dartmouth. Congratulations of boarding a fine Turbot, while on camera.

Is the Dartmouth SAC Club still at Oxford Street, where they welcome all. Many a great :drunk: hours spent around the pool table there.

  4. Good luck to all taking part in the Whitby Charter Skippers Spring Feastival 2007.

I hope we will see the return of some good Cod this year. Whitby nevers lets you down when it comes to bagging some of these prime species.

Don't forget to send us some of those phisheee photos BC, we're also looking forward to some exciting reports. B)

  5. Hi franticfisherman2, I'm not familiar with PSP7, but this may help.

Look in the option menus for `layers`. If you have this option then this is what you can achieve.

I did use Adobe Photoshop for the above result.

    Good Luck.

  6. Yes I've seen a ghost, it wasn't scary as we didn't realise what we were looking at the time.

Two of us saw it and another two heard it. If I had been alone then the event wouldn't even have registered in my head.

This was some years back, when I told my mum what had happend, she told me others had seen the same, over many years.

There could be such events, happening in front of our eyes, every day and we would not even know.

    Makes me think. :g:

  7. A double edged sword, sign the petition and all your details are then placed on a goverment database.

Daft suggestions put out in petition format, if we ignore then maybe so be it. :g:

The question I'm asking is there a darker side to these on line petitions.

Will we need to register our E Mail Adrs', pay an annual TAX/Licence. Or our useage of E Mails will be restricted or banned if you don't pay the fee.

Remember free speech is only free if you pay for it. Any goverment doesn't like a totaly free speech society, if they can get away with it.

Today we have the choice, pay for your IP, then you can say what you like, to who ever you want too, wherever in the world. Maybe not China or other despot governed countries, but what is this goverments real aim. Thier past conduct doesn't give me great hope of freedom of anything, unless it's TAXED.

    Just a Thought. :g:

  8. Good to read a fishy posting, keep them coming Cliff.

I'm looking forward to your reports, when you manage to get out, this wind doesn't help. :wallbash:

Also some good Photos, now your getting used to that Box Browny

Have you had your backside scraped n polished, those barnicals can be a pain. :boat:

  9. Hi Les, I ain't been up there for a while, but there's a good chance some likkle Codling are about with the odd chance of a 2/3lber.

I hope to get up later in the year, to give more Blanking Lessons, if you need them. So good luck, don't forget the camera, as we're all looking forward to your Paull/Humber report.

  10. Hi Markp.

No it's not difficult, infact it's rather easy.

You don't have to learn HTML, but in later developments HTML will help to create a more indepth website.

There's loads of Visual Web Creating Programmes out there, but you don't have to spend lots of hard earned cash to start up a web creation.

Here is a link to a free web hosting site that gives you the tools to create your own web site. You can choose to use HTML or the Visual Web Creating Tools. CLICK HERE FOR FREE WEB HOSTING

There's loads of free to use extras.

Good luck Markp with your web creations, don't forget to post your link on here, when you'r ready.

If you need any constructive critique, just give me a shout.

  11. Was the Washing Machine delivered and wrapped in it's full packaging.

Did you/yourself install the WM, if so, did you firstly, read the installation instructions.

    Then install as per instructions.

After installing the WM, did you do a test run.

On completion of the above the users instructions then read.

Or did you contract others ie, someone that does this proffessionaly, to install the WM. If so then you have a good case of a bad trade practice.

Even if a friend installed it, as a favour, then I'm afraid you have to bare the outcome/expense yourself.

  12. Hi Norrie, Tigger's got it right, but I'd still give a try where ever you live by the seaside.

You never know, untill you try, you may just have the ideal conditions for bait pumping around your local sea shore.

Take a reccee, walk the shore, lookout for those worm castes, if it's know good for pumping then the good old Potato Fork is the tool for the job.

  13. A few of us from the Desford SAS travelled up to Wallesey, on the Wirral, for a session of bait pumping. To use up the worms we fished the promenade beside the Wallesey Town Hall Steps.

Success was a number of Codling, Whiting & Plaice, none of us Blanked. (All Fish Were Returned)

To wet your appetites for Bait Pumping, here’s a few shots of my Brother (Dave Ashford) using the slim-line SS Bait Pump.
