  1. In Asda car park last Friday. A very expensive looking Porche was parked in the disabled bay. No disabled parking permit on show. An older chap pulled up and we exchanged words, i'll fettle the bugger he said, his wife was in a wheel chair BTW.

He then proceeded to block the car in, ha ha ha. My wife and i waited for a good 10 minutes, then this dogs dinner sort of chic came over to the car. Ha ha, she could not get in the motor and started to moan, i said " your not supposed to park there love, disabled motorists have priority " but i was only in for an half hour. Plenty of other spaces i said.

She then went to the customer services and asked the operative to hail the owner. He sure did take his time to get there. Bet that individual wont park the Porche there any more.

That is another gripe for me. ggrrrrrrrrrrr irespansible car drivers, who think they can park anywhere. And nine times out of then the car is an expensive model.

You mean to say that you actually hung around for 10 mins or more to see what happened?

What an exciting life you must lead :)

  2. Looks like an exact copy (?) of the Lenser H7R. I bought the rechargeable version and it is brilliant (or dim if you want :) )

Been using mine for almost a year now and well pleased. Probably not a case of a cheap chinese copy, but probably the genuine item at a much lower price....same as their spectra braid :)

The lamp even has the same little quality sticker on it.

  3. When beach fishin, I often have baited snoods hanging from my rod-rest ready to be attached next time I reel in.

One day a dog is going to get to the snood before I do :(

And often a dog will tear through my line as I'm tying a hook etc, putting both me and the dog in danger of being hooked.

Remonstrating with the owners is like trying to converse with the brain-dead.

It seems dogs have every right to dive into my bags, steal my lunch/bait etc.

When they get hit with a vet's bill for a gut-hooked dog, or have to put up with the crap that comes out of the dog after it's eaten my often de-frosted and re-frozen fish baits, I doubt they will be seeing the funny side of it.

Much the same when I'm pike-fishing on the river.

Is there something your not telling us Leon? Dogs seem to find you "quite attractive" ?

I particularly like the bit where you say that dogs "often tear through your line"............

  4. If you are on the beach shared with dog walkers and kids, then the onus is on you to make sure they can't get hurt. Only takes a little bit of "common" to glance around every now and then to check who or what is about, and keep baited hooks safe.

And if you are riding your bikes where people are walking dogs/taking kids for a stroll then it is up to you to make sure you don't hurt anyone, even if you have to slow down a bit or (GOD FORBID) get off and walk.

I fish at Hythe a lot and the parade is shared by dog walkers (hundreds a day) and cyclists and everyone is aware of the other and the cyclists slow down and the dog walkers us short leads.

  5. Why are the offences only seen to be one offs? If i say something illegal once IE she did it ,then its one offence ,if i persist in saying it then its more than once,if i say she did it ten times thats 10 offences ,theres then wasting police time ,etc etc etc ,theoretically if you found someone guilty on every offence and sentenced them consecutively you could put someone away for hundreds of years

Yep, sounds about right to me Dave. Her defence is that she was coerced/bullied into saying it was her driving, and not simply revenge for his infidentaly

  6. Quite right there was a lot of effort put in to blocking it. There are quite a lot of us who find the use of the word "gay" and same sex marriage to be an insult to us normal people.

Problem I will have at the next election is just which party to vote for, where does UKIP stand on this issue ? because I won't be voting tory or labour or liberal after the way they seem to be bulldozing this act through without the consent of the voters.

  7. I have bid on two items from the same seller and the auction time runs out in about 24 hours. I recieved a couple of emails from the seller, both timed at 24 hours and 25seconds before the auction time ends.

I have been offered the "second chance" to "buy it now" at my maximum bid. I suspect something fishy going on and if I do nothing will I then be the highest bidder? (assuming no one else bids higher? Or can someone else now "buy it now" .

The "buy it now" prices are the amount I have bid up to.

There was no "buy it now" offer to start with.

The email came from Ebay and does not say that the seller has withdrawn the item, but maybe he/she has.

  8. Generally not a health problem over here Newt. A reasonable amount of ventilation usually stops any condensation/damp problems. Usually it is a lack of heat allowing dampness and mould to build up. Classic case is a shower room...plenty of heat from hot water and radiator, but poor ventilation.

Or you could do what Hazel does...............leave the bedroom window open at night...............whatever the weather....Brrrrrrrrr

  9. A good friend of mine, Mike Thrussell Jnr, has been doing some pukka adverts lately for his World Sea Fishing hoodies. These involve tasty looking young women, expertly photographed by another friend.

As this recession refuses to budge, I decided to show young Mikee what can be done with a tight budget.

    Well, when in Brighton....
