Get yourself down to any farm or large pet food suppliers get a sack of hemp, french maize and a good birdseed mix with aniseed in. mix this ONCE PREPAIRED PROPPERLY with liquid mollasses and cod liver oil. Get your molasses and cod liver oil from them not the tackle shops will cost u a 10th of it would from the tackle shops.

If u want to ball it in rather than spod it just mix in some good pellets and give it 20 mins then prebait all u want Less than £30 for approx 40kg of prebaiting :D

What sort of boilies u using and what size have u rolled them?

2 mins is good for small sizes 10/14mm but 16+ better with 3mins+.Also did u make sure that when u made the paste you gave it 5/10 mins to settle! Differant base mixes i.e Birdfood/fisheals take on more moisture than most and require time to settle befor rolling and boiling. What could seam the right texture could soon dry out too quick hence the cracking.

As for air drying try and coat them in a fish oil this will stop them going rock hard all the way through

I had 6 carp to 7lb, and my mate had 9 carp to 6.5lb. All small, but great fun

The Quattro works on a geared mechinisum so the legs can splay evenly to take buzz bars from 2 to 4 rods setup. The only differance with the 3&4 rod kits is the buzz bars the base is the same;)

I have a Quattro myself they are a pod for life its easier to find rocking horse s**t than a new Quattro kit.

Best of luck with the carpin Andy :)

  10. Cheers jim Any recomended rod length or just std 9'6???
