    Hi Newt

     

    Try liquidising a few tins of your usual yellow fellows and reduce the amount of egg's used in your base mix This stuff is a great binding agent and i have used it many a time as a binder for the method Not letting too much slip. :D:D You can also get it ready done in a few different flavours from Pescaviva. :)

    Completely agree with it. A few years ago i fished a park lake in oldham on a regular peg. one evening after the guy next to me packed up and kindly through his leftovers in the margin :mad: 10 min later i heard the slurping start as a 20+ mirror munched all the freebies off the concrete margins.for a few trips after i packed up i would hang around the swim and the same fish could be seen each evening going to the same pegs.Never did fall for the traps i laid for it :confused:

    You can look at the catch rates of fish when you place your rig a couple of yards off the baited area.The size tends to be larger as they hang back letting the smaller fish test the water so to speak.they soon learn what safe and whats not.Lots of fishery's now ban the throwing in of unused bait at the end of the day? Have they noticed a feeding pattern with a drop in catch rates until late afternoon???? Personaly i think they do learn that a free,hook free meal is there as we go home

     

    Never forget the margins in the afternoon :):)

    all depends on the model and manufactuer all depends on you realy and how far u want to go and what u after at the end?

     

    rabster just got a great deal on a nash bivvie but say's give the choise again he would look more towards the like's of the fox stalker shelter. So many things and so many items.

    all depends on available finances? this is such a mine field.

    the photo is not the best but dont look like it provides much shelter.The overrap looks more protective if you are'nt looking to change the set up.

    HI common

     

    Rabster passed this question on to me as i have had an evo for about 7 year now and its still as new as the day i unwrapped it like a kid at xmas.

     

    time sorts it out mainly but try taking the 2 front arms out first then the removable centre arm this seams to release most of the tension then the side come out quite easy.

     

    sometimes i still stand scratching my head with them blocks too many holes!!! Do u use the winter skin as well???

    cheers for the early and mixed replys was in the same mind as tbone. yet still got the itch to make my own.

     

    JDW what sort of time do u spend on rolling? IS it do in bulk and freeze it or in small batches? def fancy rolling my own

    I have been looking into rolling my own as they say lately and looking at the initial cost of the gear,the base mix and so on does it make sense with all the bait rolling company's on offer? How have you found the costing side
