There is a public meeting will be held by the PORT OF LONDON AUTHORITY (PLA) `on July 4th 2005 to discuss current and future aspects of the tidal Thames.
Entitled “Your tidal THAMES – today and tomorrow”, the meeting will be chaired by Richard Everitt (PLA chief executive) and Bruce Richardson (PLA chief harbour master)
The open meeting will be held on Monday 4th July at the London Corinthian Sailing Club, Linden House, 60 Upper Mall, London W6 9TA. The meeting will start at 7.00pm.
It is open to anyone interested in the work and activities of the PORT OF LONDON AUTHORITY on or by the tidal THAMESS between Chelsea and Teddington. There will be a full opportunity to raise any matters of concern and for general discussion.
The meeting is part of our continuing work to communicate and consult with users of the tidal river.
The Thames is soon going to be massively redeveloped and if we anglers don’t raise our concerns the environment, ecology and wildlife of the THAMES is going to be immensely diminished and destroyed eventually impacting on the fishing on the THAMES.
It has taken over 150 years for the THAMES to recover from the disasters of the Victorian area and has only now started to become a natural haven again. We must not let the mistakes of the past be repeated again.
Only last year sewage run off by privatised water companies into the THAMES killed millions of, and large fish that had been living in the THAMES for over 40 years had perished gone for ever never to be enjoyed or admired again.
ANGLER S’ ACROSS LONDON AND ENGLAND WAKE UP !!!!!!!!!
This is our chance to do something about this and help preserve the environment of the THAMES.
