  1. Hi, when I started this thread I was living in Brisbane, Australia. I have been in Lyon, France for 4 weeks and my kayak will be arriving from Australia in about 4 weeks. If anybody else has got any ideas about fishing in the Lyon area I would love to hear them. I will certainly follow up the info you guys have kindly given me already, thanks. Regards Nick
  2. Many thanks Dominic - and to the others who replied with info, web sites etc. I probably will end up bringing my kayak with me - as we are taking a 40" container anyway. When I get over to Exeter for the summer holidays - I will watch this forum and hope to meet up with some of the Devon yakkers. Regards Nick
  3. Hi, I am a Brisbane/Australia based kayak fisherman. I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me please? This might be a long shot. I am moving to Lyon and France in 2 months time - and was wondering if there are any kayak fishing spots in the area? Either locally - or in the Med? I am just wondering if it is worth bringing my kayak over. My brother in law lives in Exeter and catches mackerel from his kayak from time to time (I think they are) - so I guess if the worst comes to the worst I could always go to Exter - if I need a fix! Many thanks for the help! Regards Nick
  4. Hi Simon, many thanks for your reply - appreciate the info. Thanks for the offer of an international fishing match. Actually we have decided that you can keep Shane Warne - and we'll keep the ashes! If you are interested in seeing what we get up to around Brisbane - have a look at www.fishingnoosa.com.au Go into the fishing report - Page 2 and check out the handy Northern Bluefin Tuna caught off a Perception Swing. There is also a portal to some good kayak fishing articles on that web site. Also take a look at http://members.optusnet.com.au/aus-kayak-f...hing/index.html And if you would like to have a look at our kayak fishing forum, take a look at http://com3.runboard.com/baustraliankayakfishingforum/ This forum has been a great boost to the sport here and has got everybody talking and linking up. Thanks again Nick
  5. Hi Starvinmarvin, thanks for the reply. Do you know what the best (and most popular area) for kayak fishing is in the UK is please? Best regards Redro
  6. Thanks for the reply, Zzippy. Judging by the pictures posted on the web site - I will have to bring plenty of warm kayak fishing gear too! I guess I would have to go further south to do some kayak fishing - somewhere along the Devon coastline. Regards Redro
  7. Hi, I mess around with a bit of kayak fishing in Brisbane, Australia - I fish off a Perception Swing. My long term plan is to maybe move to the UK - possibly the Bath/Bristol area. Is the kayak fishing good around there?
