15lb is what a lot of people use there but I personally dont use anything less than 20lb. Hope this helps.

I wish !!! I have fished it quite a lot and I am a member this year so I do know a lot about it. Mark (the owner) doesnt allows pillocks to fish there so (almost) everyone who does go there are competent anglers who know what they are doing If u want to give me the money to buy the fisherie I can make Mark an offer

Well worth the cost of the day ticket, Catfish of up to 40+ lb double figured carp and sturgeon. Not sure of biggest sizes as I only fish for the cats, Ive fished it last all last year and was so impressed Ive took membership this year. Marm - I think its better than it looks.The cats go from around 10lb up to 40+ I have no idea on the carp as I dont fish for them. Drilled 22mm halibut pellets soaked in Salmon oil usually works for me - 3 on a hair rig size 0/1 or 0/2 hooks. I use 45lb ESP shockleader braid or 85lb ton up and have been bitten though when ive used 60lb mono. Fish against the reed beds or mid water over a bed of pellets, it tends to be a bit shallow up against the islands. Ive caught cats there all times of the day from early morning right up to middle of the night (or rather my son caught them in the middle of the night) so its well worth a couple of days fishing.

I wonder how much the bus fare is to America and will they let me take my tackle Other than that I know about the Country Park Lake, I have fished there myself and had some really nice cats from there but I would like to find somewhere without a waiting list.

Does anyone know of any catfish waters available to join without going onto a waiting list in the Cheshire area other than Lymm Angling, I've had a bellyfull them and the bailiffs

Thanks for the info on cat waters. I have enough waters now to consider. What I really want to know is where Crabmill flash and Plex flash is and how to get there - if anyone can help with directions I would appreciat it.

Has anyone fished Crabmill Flash In sandbach, Cheshire. I have been told it isnt a syndicate water now and is available to fish on day ticket. If anyone knows the address/ phone number of who I should be talking to I would appreciate it. Also, does anyone know of any other Catfish waters in Cheshire on day ticket?
