  1. Probably been done a million times already on hear but who cares, I'm bored so here goes....

What was the very first record you bought?

Mine? Alvin Stardust - My Coo-Ca-Choo (Cringe!!)

  2. Typical man ure mentallity.

IMO Keane is nothing short of a spoilt little overpaid brat who thought he was more important than the manager. Sending him home was the correct thing to do, no one player can be allowed to disrupt the teams preparation. It just goes to show how selfish some people can be.

If Keane wanted better (luxurious) facilities maybe he could have offered to help out with the cost, lets face it if he loves his country the money shouldn't matter and considering he earns £92000 a WEEK at man ure I'm sure his bank account could've handled it.

I've heard this morning that man ure have chartered a private jet to fetch him!!!!!!! whatever next? it's little wonder these "kids" expect and demand so much is it?

Which college do you work at Colin? I work for Cambridge University Press & live in nearby village of Bar Hill although should be moving to Papworth in October. All questions I know, but where do you fish around here?

  6. I think you'll find the Woolwich do a good deal but suppose it's all down to personal circumstances. We will be starting one shortly (when the bl@@dy builders have finished our new house) nad everything looks good for our needs. I went through a financial advisor who claims I've got the best possible option (they charged me £550 for the privilage though!!!).

Best to phone around and have a few call on you.

The citizens advice bureau advised me that if you step into a fight to break it up and become injured then you will not get any compensation.

On the other hand, he told me that if I stepped in where a police officer was being assualted then I would most certainly get compensation.

    Strange but true.

You're not likely to get involved in a fight where a police officer is being assaulted as they the police rarely arrive at the scene until the fighting's over blaming bad traffic conditions or leaves on the road for their late arrival.

Polly you surprise me with your very attitude to the Powers that be?? could this be the start of a Revolution and stiring of the masses.

Someone in your position in life would not have let his children down travel down this long road to hell.

    You would have noticed??????????.

Again you blame the Police and the Powers in Westminster.

Parents are the key to all??????

      :D      :D

Last year my 62 year old father was severly beaten and put in hospital for 2 days by 3 drug thugs in a small village environment. Why? he dared to stand up to them and tried to remove them from his estate. The police were invovled and did manage to get the case to court but it was thrown out due to lack of evidence or should I say lack of people prepared to give it, on 2 occasions the 3 gits failed to turn up at court claiming they had been caught in traffic. The whole thing is a mockery and it's little wonder the drugs trade is thriving in the UK with attitudes like yours around. No I'm not saulking, I'm just p!SSEd off with do-gooder or do-nothing people protecting these morons.

Polly causing trouble again shooting from the hip.

Ask your self this what were the parents of the children doing.

They must have been very poor parents not to spot the changes in behavour etc, etc, etc,

Again to late a response. He should have gone to the police as soon he found out not give a warning.

But it support your comment bloody stupidity.

Parents must take some of the responsability I agree. Not to spot the signs assumes parents are aware of what they might be. Many parents adopt the "butter wouldn't melt in my kids mouth" approach and quite simply ingore what may be obvious signs of drug abuse, choosing instead to blame them on something else like "He' tired bless him, too much homework these days" etc etc. Once the parental cock-up has been realised we should do what? "Contact the police"!!!!! dont make me laugh, we all know that's the politically correct thing to do but what's the reality? they might pay the pusher a short visit and tell him he's been a naughty boy, possibly even chastise him (just a little without raising their voices!) but only verbally and making sure they only use officially correct languge they would then leave saying "Now don't do it again will you.....please", "Thanks for your time Mr Dirty Filthy Arseh@le Drugpusher, sorry to have bothered you".

Parental responsabilty includes protecting your kids and if todays police are not allowed to hand out the correct punishment then tough sh!t. I for one would not hesitate to administer what I felt to be a punishment fitting the crime.

    Eddie they aint all bad.

  16. I did it Jan 13th 2001 (my 40th birthday) and proud to say haven't cracked. Haven't saved any money and don't feel a great deal fitter (put on a bit of weight) but the pride I now feel when I turn down a fag or answer non-smoker on forms cannot be beaten. It's also great to look my kids in the eye and say "I a non-smoker now".

It wasn't eay at first but it truely gets easier and easier as the weeks go by. Sometimes these days even the thought of smoking makes me feel sick or even just seeing someone else gragging away. When I smoked I never realised just how repulsive a smoker smelt, it really is discusting. Reckon I can smell a smoker from 5-6 yards away now, YUK!!!!! Anyway enough lecturing, good luck mate, you wont regret it.

    Cheers - Polly
