Live maggots shrink in cold water
Yeah, that's certainly true.

Eamonn,
Late teens? Forget it, they are pretty much beyond control now, in this kind of thing anyway. They are up later than you and they know about computers that you
You've hit the nail on the head there.
If you want to control what sort of content they can access, and not have them hack it in 2 minutes flat take a look at www.netmop.comThe kids WILL NOT be able to get around it. (Not without a full re-install of windows!!).
It does cost, but it gives you peace of mind if you want to control content.
Looks pretty good but I'm really looking for something to restrict access times ie disallows internet access except for specified times of day.

Ahhhh... feel-good software that the kids will hack in 2 minutes flat if they have any sense
It is possible to do it properly but you have to add a server and sod about with a certain piece of opensource software that is as narly as narly can be but rock solid when achieved...
And then you find out that they pick up far worse in the playground anyway
Well of course, the content of what they download is one matter but if I could at least stop them using the internet when I'm not around to keep an eye it would be a start. Also, they stay up later then us quite often these days (late teens) and I can't watch over them when I'm sleeping. It was so much easier when they were little!
after a quick google search i found this http://www.codework.com/bcontrol/product.html looks like it does the job you need it to you could give it a tryCheers - looks good but wanna try the freebie route first!

Hi
Any of you folk know of any free software for setting limits of internet access? I have teenaged kids and want to make sure they aren't surfing the net or chatting for too long or too late. I did have something once on an previous computer that you could do this but I can't remember where it was from or what it was called.
Anchovies as bait
in Coarse Fishing

Worth a try do you think? A jar of fillets only costs about £1.50. I'm sure many fish would go for this bait; carp, tench, chub, perch. Fishy flavours seem to be popular and although I've never eaten anchovy, they are supposed to be pretty strong in flavour.
