  1. Week of 2nd to 9th May. A bit of an up and down week with the carp starting to spawn then stopping & starting.... Mixed with the weather going from rain to hot and sunny then back to rain. The carp did not know what they were doing. We had one angler on the jolly pad lake who manage to entice 10 carp on the bank and lost 2. We had a group of 5 anglers on the North Lake who suffered the most with the spawning and by Wednesday we offered to move them on to Simon's Lake as Matt & I had done a couple of hours fishing on there on Tuesday and caught 17 carp up to 30lbs & then I did Tuesday night from 9pm to 1am as by then I was kanckered from all the hauling I had around 15 carp to 34lbs. The 5 lads who moved on to Simons lake only fished with either 1 or 2 rods & only fished until it got dark as the action was frantic on our newly opened runs water. The Results: Jolly Pad Lake: 40lb, 44lb & 45lb 30lb 8oz, 31lb, 32lb, 34lb, 36lb, 36lb 50z, 36lb 8oz North lake: 2 x 31lbs 3 x 22lb to 23lb Simon's Lake: Only fishing days 5 x 30lb to 36lb 10oz 9 x 25lb to 29lb 16 x 20lb to 25lb 20 x 15lb to 20lb 16 x 10lb to 15lb 15 x below 10lb To see more pictures of some of the carp that was caught please visit our website gallery. www.edenslakes.com
  2. Well what a change in the weather from last week. It rained all day Saturday which was hard going for the anglers who had to pack up there gear and the anglers who arrived to setup. The rain continued on/of until Thursday when it eventually broke with some sunshine. 8) But that did not stop the fish feeding & boy did they feed for a couple of English anglers, in total between them Mark had 24 carp with 5 of them being different 40's up to 45lb 6oz and 9 different 30's. Mick had 37 carp with 20 differerent 30's to 39lb. two very happy anglers. We had two Dutch anglers also on the North Lake who would have fared better if they put a bit more bait in. Total Results North Lake: 5 x 41lb 3oz to 45lb 6oz 9 x 36lb to 39lb 24 x 30lb to 35lb 9 x 26lb to 29lb 12 x 20lb to 25lb 8 x 11lb to 19lb 6 x <10lb Jolly Pad Lake: 2 x 40lb 7oz to 44lb 5 x 35lb to 39lb 6oz 2 x 33lb 1 x 15lb To see more pictures of the carp that was caught please visit our website gallery. www.edenslakes.com

  4. We have two pieces of VERY exciting news to share with you all!!! First of all we stocked some fantastic new carp in all 3 of our lakes last Friday 17th April 2009 to add to our existing stock, courtesy of Neil Wilson www.frenchcarpsupplies.com and Gerard Nourry (who also supplied our existing hard fighting carp). I have attached some stunning pictures of the carp…I’m sure you’d like to see some more of these stunning fish, so please visit our gallery on our website. www.edenslakes.com We have stocked over one & half ton of carp from Beautiful Koi, Magnificent Ghost carp, Stunning Grass carp, Huge Mirrors & Massive Commons. The following is the stocking details for each lake: Simon’s Lake: We stocked just over one ton of carp with the following weights of each species: 7 x Koi - 7lbs to 15lb 2 x Ghost carp - 15lb to 18lb 8 x Grass Carp - 22lb to 33lb One ton of Mirror & Common carp - 16lb to 38lbs This lake will be our runs water and now contains over 200 carp in 5 acres of water The average weight of the carp that we stocked is around 22lb to 24lb with over 25 carp at 30lbs+ ALL THESE FISH ARE VIRGIN CARP…BE THE FIRST TO BAG UP!!! North Lake: We topped up our already amazing stock of carp with a further 22 carp. The new stock consisted of: 6 x Koi – 15lb to 20lb 1 x Ghost carp – 16lb 7 x Grass Carp – 22lb to 35lb 1 x Sturgeon – 25lb 1 x Common – 33lb 6 x Mirrors – 29lb to 33lb This lake is an outstanding all-rounder, with a good head of 30 & 40lbers & has 2 known carp to 52lbs+ (2008) Jolly Pad Lake: This lake is rapidly becoming our ‘specimen’ lake & at 3 acres you are not far from a big lump. The new stock consisted of: 6 x Koi – 10 to 15lb 2 x Ghost carp 18 to 20lb 1 x Ghost Koi – 37lb 7 x Grass carp – 22 to 35lb 1 x Sturgeon – 22lb 7 x commons – 30lb to 40lb 4 x Mirrors – 30lb to 47lb Our second piece of great news is also just for you… we have reduced our pricing!! This is to reflect the current exchange rate. 2 years ago (when the exchange rate was good) our euro pricing converted to around £180 for one angler for one week (Drive & Survive). We have decided that for 2009 we still would like to offer holidays for around that £180 mark and have therefore reduced our euro price. We have also reduced our bait price’s to bring this inline with the exchange rate of 2 years ago. And we have not stopped there…we have reduced the prices of all our holiday packages. We will revue this pricing for 2010 but any bookings taken for 2010 will be honoured at the 2009 pricing. All existing bookings (whose deposits have been paid) will be reduced to the new price on your arrival. We are so excited to see what happens this season as we are sure its going to be a blinder with many of our anglers leaving us with new PB’s!
