It always amazes me that there's a huge outcry when a white actor or actress darkens their skin to look "black", but when a "black" person lightens their skin, it's OK.
A model called Tyra Banks did a shoot a few months ago where she made herself up to look like several "white" celebs and not an eyebrow was raised.
As to the creams, they,re hugely popular in India too. Not so surprising really when the matchmaking colums in the local rags endlessly feature ads from men looking for "Fair" bride.Wonder if she had her butt bleached seeing as its fashionable

To burn them at low cost it would be better to hang them until they dry out then burn them ,an enterprising person could sell the ash for gardens as well as a natural criminal deterrent or just fertilizer

I wonder if those against the death penalty could be considered more sadistic than those for it. If someone is executed then it's quick, and final. If they are left to rot in a jail, (with just basic necessities for life), it would be a slow, long lasting torture.
Just a thought.

Good point John but the way things are the prison system would,nt allow allow the basics for life as it would probably impinge on their Human Rights
