  1. Cheers, Let me know how you get on mate. Ricky
  2. Thanks mate, just to let you know I had a red letter day I caught Chub upto 5 lb 11 oz including another at 5 lb 7 oz and 5 others just under 5 lb so as you can see it went pretty well, all on Lobworm fished halfway across with Hemp, Pellet, Caster and Sweetcorn in the Feeder. Thanks for your advice. Ricky
  3. You're right, it is a Graphics video card driver problem!
  4. Need some advice fishing there tomorrow and was wondering if anyone knew any tactics, methods and baits to use there at this time of year, or whether anyone can tell me anything about the place, more information the better in my opinion. Hope to hear from someone about this, thanks in advance for any help received. Ricky
  5. Bait wise I would say Casters, Pellet, corn and Worm. Methods I would suggest the lift method as mentioned earlier by someone else, mashed bread and casters works well as a groundbait mix when fishing Caster on the hook. Stret-Pegging in a River for Tench is excellent. Ricky
  6. {comment removed - because} {Newt} Ricky
  7. Thanks for your comments, I just tried this as I brought 2 pints and I was reading an IYCF magazine and it stated that dead maggots are good flavoured and kept overnight to freeze for a variety of species including Carp, Chub and Barbel. Well I have another pint of live ones if the dead ones don't work at least, thanks for your comments and I will let you know how I get on with them. Ricky
  8. Just wondering what you all thought of using dead maggots in Winter flavoured with Maple or scopex for Barbel and Chub this Winter? I have just put a pint in the freezer to kill them and suck in the flavour for my trip to Fiskerton tomorrow, also if anyone knows of any techniques to use these I would appreciate the help. I was just planning on using a bunch of these on a size 10 with hemp, pellets and Casters as well as some dead maggots in the feeder, what do you think? Is there anything you would do different? Appreciate your comments, Thanks Ricky
  9. Cheers mate I really appreciate it, I'll look out for the tree you mention, although I hope that there isn't loads of trees surrounding the River and be lost where to go. Cheers again, Ricky
  10. Oh thanks mate that helps me out me a great deal, and thanks Ian FG for getting involved, I'll let you know how I get on. Cheers again, Ricky
  11. Lol, sorry mate, but now I know that I will be giving it a go, I'll let you know how I get on, if I don't catch much I'll blame you for not giving me the top pegs, lol. I live in Dundee and I am here visiting my Parents, I don't get to fish the Trent that much nowadays so I always try and get on the best places when I am here to make it worth while, that's why I asked for all the answers. Thanks again for your help, Ricky
  12. Cheers again guys, what pegs are best at Fiskerton what pegs should I looking for when targetting Chub and Barbel. How far do I chuck the feeder? Is parking okay at Fiskerton?? Thanks guys for your help so far Ricky
  13. Any Directions for Fiskerton by car from Nottingham. I have tried multimap but it needs street names and postcodes and I don't have that obviously.
  14. Cheers guys, I am already a member of BFW but I never thought of posting there as it often takes ages for someone to reply.
  15. Thanks mate, do you know how I would get there from Nottingham, Fiskerton I mean? Also is the stretch Day Ticket?? Cheers, Ricky
  16. Sorry mate, the bridge I talk about is the road that you can reach to Nottingham and vice-versa where the weir is on your right side when crossing it. The part I talk about is just on the outskirts of the City Centre, nr the Derby Bus Station. Hope this helps. Ricky
  17. I am looking to fish the river Trent but I would like some information on these two venues. I would like to try for Chub and Barbel but apart from one good session at Holme pierppont slalom which included a PB Chub of 4 lb 7oz last week which also produced two other Chub of 4 lb and 3 lb 8oz I haven't yet caught a Barbel. If anyone knows about these venues I would appreciate any help on tactics, baits or just some general information, I would appreciate it. Or if you can include another area around Nottingham that you know would be worth a go, I am open to suggestions. I have also forgot to ask for directions to these two places if anyone can do that it would really help me out. Also is Fiskerton any good?? Just heard a few good things about this place?? Thanks in advance for any help received. Ricky
  18. I used to fish here in the Winter where the A46 Bridge is, don't know much about it now anyone with any information about this venue please post. Thanks in advance. Ricky
