  1. Went on my first fishing trip taking local advice on board as well as what was given here. Though in short it was fairly unsuccesful, as no fish if there were any there wanted to bite, at all! Even several local anglers who were there didnt even get a nibble. Oh well, try again tomorrow
  2. Thanks for the advice I'll bear this in mind, I'm expecting to go this friday, time promising of course. Thanks Lee

    Mumbles

Hey, I'm from Isle of Man Orignally, i'm used to fishing off harbour walls and having to battle off seals from my tackle...and losing my caught fish and tackle all too often Anyway, in the general area now, and im hearing off some people i've talked to about strong tides and currents etc...So im presuming this means little seasweed...another bonus Hopes theres not many seals about too. Anyway, I have my rod and reel from Isle of Man and chucked most of my old tackle away as it was a bit worn and rusted. So far I've bought around a 5oz anchor and a couple of the typical cheap lures for a few pounds as well as the general equipment such as hooks, swivels weights etc. Now, I'm aware the pier is rather good to fish off however, I'm curious as to what set up I should use off this? (Back in Isle of Man i either used a lure or a slightly weighted line and bait) Also i'm aware that fishing off mumbles front is rather promising (having seen a fishing tournament there when I first moved here back in September) Whats the recomended set up here? All help is much appreciated, and if anyone feels like going fishing with me to show me the ropes that would be great thanks. Lee
