  2. I don't use a keepnet very often and certainly dont use one during the close season when fish are spawning, if fishing is allowed on the water Im fishing.

When and if I do use a keepnet, I tend to empty it every hour, and take a pic of my catch...hoppy

  3. hoppy:

What about an aquarium pump? they work just as well, but thats if he wants a battery type or mains.

In my sea fishing days, all I used when storing live bait (ragworm, blacklug, white rag, sandworm) was an aquarium pump and airstone which served me very well. Surely there must be a tropical fish dealer that sells aeration pumps that will be adequate to do the same job...hoppy

Disregard my earlier post as quoted above, I totaly misread the question and didnt click on the links...sorry. :o

  5. Norrie,I use www.choicestationery.com, as well for my Epson C70 and work ok even though the cartridges are chipped, I get an alert message from my printer informing me the "new cartridge is the wrong chip code" "do you want to continue" I select "yes" and everything works fine. But these cartridges can't be refilled for my printer, because they have no means of opening them or even a little refil hole like other makes of carts where you can insert a needle to refil.

So I would think when and if they (the manufacturers) start fitting chip codes to other makes of printers ink carts, the real codes will still be overwritten, just like the Epson carts are, so I dont think there will be a problem...hoppy

  6. Had a similar problem with my daughters 1.1 j reg fiesta, Im no mechanic but over the many years Ive tinkered with old cars from the 1950s,to 80s Ive managed to get by.

Firstly it could be a bad plug fouled up and not firing, causing the "chugging" so... keep the engine running, pull off only one of the ht leads to a plug (wear a rubber glove),if there is a difference to the engine note/sound that one is ok, put the lead back on and try the other ht leads individually, until you find the one with no difference to the engine note/sound, that one will be the faulty one.

Switch off engine remove that plug from the cylinder that didnt sound any different, clean it or replace it, then give the car a spin.

If there is still no difference, it could be a broken oil ring in the piston, worn piston rings causing lack of some compression and the oil to show up on the plug, this is a engine strip down....but...as I say... but,...years ago to save doing a strip down, you could get a tube of piston seal and squirt a portion into the plug hole onto the cylinder head (I did and fixed my daughters car)into each cylinder, you may be lucky and get some from Halfords, and follow the instructions on the box and leaflet inside, my daughters car is an old cheapo, over 100,000mls fully mot tested and gets her about, its only a cheap temp repair that will last for about 6 months or more...hoppy

  7. Something I observed a couple of weeks ago Elton, on the bankside, a young lad with a small hot water bottle (apparently put up by his mother) keeping his hands warm. So I thought, where could I get a small hot water bottle, Mmmm.... Poundland, 2 for a pound. Now I take 2 flasks with me, one for my coffee and one for a flask of hot water to fill the hot water bottle for when I get cold. "lovely jubbly" and the flask holds enough water for 4 refils (one of those pump action ones)....hoppy

  8. Mmmmm....I think the law of not reporting the running over and killing a cat, was they didnt have to be registered/licenced to keep them, so they didnt "realy exist" whereas a dog had to be reported if it was accidentally killed, because of the records kept about it., BUT ...having said that, we no longer need a licence to keep a dog...SO...do we need to report a death of a dog, if we run it over???

  9. I watched a film on Tv earlier this year, and Paul Young was in it as a young frogman in the navy during the 2nd world war, helping to blow up german ships with mines or mini subs, cant remember the name of the film though. I think John Mills was the main star...hoppy
