  1. Have to agree with the 3 of you but then the price to fish an open match is far to high for most kids to pay, £10 pools{i know some organisers let children in cheaper} bait for the day anything between £5 and £15 then the little extras like a breakfast and the cost soon mounts up thats the main reason i stopped match fishing spending a fortune on a days fishing where as go carp/piking/pleasure its a hell of a lot cheaper, i dont think my paper round would have covered the cost of fishing a match.

  2. Good luck with running the matches RUDD i remember a few years ago i used to run some evening matches on the erewash canal and you couldn,t do right for doing wrong didn't matter if you used all fliers or all even pegs there were always moans it be a thankless task lol :P

  3. Just been down the river this morning and found the place a utter pig stye, is it the same where you fish? Just look at the state of it! And it wasnt just the 1 peg the whole of the river seems to be in the same state. If youve carried the stuff down there full whats wrong with carrying it back when its empty!!!!!!!{not that im finger pointing or anything}

  4. Been asked by the wife to find a family holiday for next year {her dad and uncle fish too} and was wondering if any 1 can reccomend any where in paticular that has fishing literally on the doorstep? Been having a google whiteacres and anglers paradise keep popping up { dont much fancy them} and a few others. Basically have you been any where that you enjoyed and would go again? If so pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee furnish me with the details :P

  5. does it still work as a pre bait for bream, now a days every 1 seems to be talking about vitalin and nothing else, the only reason i ask is ive been given half a sack along with half a sack of wheat and maize, dont want it going to waste do we :P

  6. :oops: Sorry if i offened old bean non was intended what so ever,we have crappy pet shops where i live as for b&q dont even go there i seem to have spent half this yr walking the isles looking for burnt magnolia or what ever that colour was on property ladder! But i did have a crafty look there earlier and non was to be found :( once again ferret sowwieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. I want mesh and i want it cheap :P:( only problem with the pet shop lark is its all rabbit huch size dont much fancy chucking one of them in only got 1.5lb test curve rods ill be needing a 30lb class uptider but thanks

  8. i sometimnes use a keep net sometimes i dont depends on what im fishing for and where im fishing theres nothing worse than lugging a wet carp mesh keepnet miles, as for all this sniping between certain forum members i think i know whats causing it, could it be anything to do with the estrogen hormone levels in the water, seems certain people must have fell in and be changing sex, i thought her indoors pmt was bad {1 week out of 4 isnt bad} but this is taking it to another level. :P

  9. Dragon carp bait runners=bag of pants in my mind had two of them and binned em after 2 months i wasnt expecting quality for thaat price, but the handle snapped on one of them, the line roller on the bail arms contiually worked loose after about half an he of heavy casting my opinion get a okuma, they cant be any worse!

  10. Have to agree with Budgie on this one and to be perfectly in honest unless your geared up with a state of the art big pit reel and rod then your not going to be able to cast 100m it used to make me laugh when peoplke came in to the shop i worked in and used to brag casting 100m+ when the venue they fished was only 50m wide{and they only ever bought 100m of line to boot}, just try casting on a open field with a bog standard feeder and measure it youll be suprised how short the distance really is.

  11. just getting off the thread here i was told that alloy disgorgers can damage fine monos unlike the plastic version don't know how true this is though, always used plastic :P
