  1. Question is would they be any good? Was bank walking the other day and in a wier pool i fish regularly i spotted quite a few mussel shells, so do we think they would make a decent bait for the old whiskers or not? Any one ever tried them and were they succesful?

  2. Any 1 got any info on it? Just had a look last night and as its a pain to get to from where i live was wondering if it was worth the effort:P

P.s the mussels werent here lol

  3. Not 1 for starting a row and all that but have you ever thought that these so called lesser anglers could actually learn a bit from you in the way of fiosh handling etc, at the end of the day they have got of there arses to find somewhere new to fish and they have ppl telling em its a load of rubbish! Just think its bloody hypocrtical thats all! :wallbash:

  4. Sorry ken but i have to disagree with 1 thing you say, not all match anglers want pike killed {former match angler so no axe to grind} to be perfectly honest i cant think of 1 match angler i know whos thrown 1 up the bank so to speak as they all count round our neck of the woods its this them and us attitude in fishing that really gets on my pecs, at the end of the day we all go to catch cold blooded animals out of water called fish, doesnt matter to me if your a carp angler, match man, speci hunter or just a noddy {pleasure fisherman} im a noddy and bloody proud of it!

  5. Ok you lot top barbel baits and why, and do you think it makes a difference if your fishing a big river eg Trent or Severn as apposed to a small one such as the teme? Are we talking meat, corn, boilies{if so what flavours} or even the humble maggot/caster and hemp approach

  6. ~Know what ya mean bob, it was the prices of matches what stopped me fishing em a few years back blood worm and joker 1/4 kg worms in case bronze maggotts plus pools and i was only a poor little magotts monkey at the time, now it seems to have moved full circle cheap bait but dear pools on the carp puddles theres no comprimise any where :(
