As ever this report has been supplied by Chris at Bait'N' Tackle St Annes Road Blackpool,

Cumbria.

The recent change in the weather, has imptoved catches. Good numbers of fish have been caught this week. Flounder, plaice, bass, codling, dogfish, tope, gurnard and dab all reported this week. Crab baits continue to work well with fresh worm and ragworm also catching.

Good marks are , Port Carlisle, Silloth, Whitehaven, Workington, Maryport, Walney Isle .

Star venue, Whitehaven pier continues to offer some good fish with bass, dogfish, small codling plaice etc. High water will give good returns with crab.Distance casting is not essential as the fish can be under the rod tip..

On the boats fishing is improving though still a little patchy. Dudden channel still holds numbers of quality dab and fair numbers of plaice to 3lb 8oz as too does the walney channel..Occasional mackerel and ray caught with some good tope, smoothound and huss in the bay..

Lancs.

Morcambe offers, good numbers of fish from the stone jetty with flounder, school bass eels and plaice. North wall behind the grovesnor hotel also holds plaice, school bass and flounder with the occasional dogfish. The fylde coast has imprived dramatically, flounder in very good numbers at fairhaven, small school bass, and small codling, tope to 7lb, smoothound to 6lb bass to 5lb 5oz.

Star Spot. Blackpool North wall has the potential to give very good mixed bags with dogfish, smoothound, bass, small codling, flounder gurnard and others all possible.

Parking along the promenade or the side streets is readily available, walk down to the lower prom fishing is possible anywhere along here.Try opposite the Norbreck Hotel over high water.Or cavendish road.
