20" BROWNIE

Recommended Posts

I caught a super brown trout yesterday on a buzzer yesterday - 20" long from nose to the fork of the tail; seemed in superb condition and had perfect fins. I was fishing catch & release and after unhooking in the water it went off like a rocket. My question is - what did it weigh? I can guess, but does anyone have a table of weights to lengths for trout?

You really need to know the girth of the fish to get an indication of its weight. There are formulae for this but like I say it needs the girth measurement as well as its length.
