This year has shown the slowest start to the season I have known. We have had hardly any fly and more specifically very few Spring Olives. Yesterday, however, things began to take off and the fish responded straight away. We now have loads of Hawthorn, hatches of Pale Watery and B.W.O. which last for at least a couple of hours and the Mayfly are here! I've been seeing more and more each day, around mid afternoon, and the fish are taking them well.
