Fishing in Bristol

Does anyone know of a good place to fish in Bristol. I am visiting there in a few weeks and hope to take my Bro-in-law for a spot of Angling.

Hi Pangolin

I am really after small carp,crucians and tench etc. Oddly enough I came from Bristol and remember vividly watching two anglers pull out shedloads of Tench and Crucians from the Docks. Not living in Bristol for a long time, I have lost touch with what is available etc.

Given that's all the recommendation I can give, do telephone the fishery before taking a chance, to check availability of day-tickets, and how well they are fishing, before making a choice.

I used to fish both Bitterwell and Tanhouse back in the early 70's so if you fish either of these I would love to know how you got on.They were great fisheries in those days.
