Hardy Salmon Rod

I have a Hardy salmon rod for sale. It has 2 top sections so 4 pieces all together. It was in bundle of rods I bought at an auction and it must have been somewhere damp. The reel seats and top eyes are ok the cork handle is not in bad condition but the rest of the eyes are rusted away. Its bag is in tatters but the Hardy lable is a bit tatty but survived better than the rest of the bag.

 

It would make a great project for someone to restore to it's former glory. £30 plus postage at cost if you want it posted.

Hi Lyn, what's it made of? Glass? Cane? Graphite? etc And what sort of length? Can you make anything out from the label to see what sort of line weight it might be?

It's NOT cane, it Greenheart about 100yrs old, there is no label at all on it. Approx 12'9" still has one of the wood/cork bungs in the middle section. PM me your email and I will send you some pics if that helps. All the fittings are brass, the rubber end is not in bad nick for it's age. I am trying to get hold of a friend as he might be able to add a bit more.
