Helloooo,

Im going to Cornwall in the summer (July or August) am thinkin of doin a spot of mackeral fishing off the rocks or the piers, but iv got a few questions like:

Should i get a new rod and reel for it or will my normal course rod be ok?

What Should i use to catch, Feathers, spinners or bait?

If bait, then what bait?

And how far out should i fish like really far or just into a bay somewhere, or close in?

Thnx in advance for any feedback.

if i was you just buy a light spinning rod and use feathers set of 4 are only like 75p and there is a very good spot down here for mackerel called porthkerris you will have great fun down there !! enjoy :) you have to pay to get down there £2 to park your car and £1 a rod but all worth it!
