Line on surface

Any idea how I can get my line to sink, as it always stays on the surface and gets blown across the water pulling my float with it. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

After casting out sink your rod tip under the water and wind in a few turns of the reel, or a quick yank of the rod(this 1 takes some practise)

 

if your line still isnt sinking properly u could try submerging your spool in a bowl of soapy water to remove the greese from the line.
