Having just moved to the south coast I am gonna restart my fishing career...At the moment I am looking to spend as little as possible. I want to be flexible in how I fish as well. I own a kayak so will want to fish from it. I also have access to rocks and Worthing pier and numerous beaches of course. I also want to be able to head back north and join my brother on the river now and again.....

At the moment I am looking at Daiwa-Cormoran Seacor 4 piece or a Leeda Icon telescopic, which i hope will cover all my categories for not much wonga....

Also looking at (more expensive) Shakespeare Salt Travel Beach 6 piece or a Shakespeare Expedition 9ft 6 piece (slightly less expensive)

I am looking at cormoran bullfighter FS or a similar shakespeare unit..

I will be lure/plug fishing, float fishing and bottom fishing too all inshore or on the river

Any advice for the is appreciated <_<

thanks in advance

Mick

Shimano Exage S.T.C 330 H

Come in sections so you choose to fish it at 10' or 11'

Will do anything you ask of it, quality piece of kit.

Has been to Florida a few times and has done battle with sting rays.

Very happy to recommend this rod.

If you're looking for a kayack rod you're looking at a shorter rod as a long rod would'nt be practical to fish with, in that instance have a look at the Rovex rods from Jarvis Walker (Australian make) by Masterline, for £20 or less they're great for yaks and very strong

cheers fellas for your input.......will have a look at em on t'interweb and see what gives

i am thinking the yak is my biggest consideration, as you can fish with a small rod any where but you cant fish with a 12 foot rod on a yak............

cheers

Sorry did not read the yak referance. My Bad.

There are rods out now made to suit Yakkers ;)

Maybe a "Key west boat rod, just 5'5" and rated at 8-16 lb" sounds ideal

being advertised at just £ 24.99

The Exage is an all round good rod for everything else you asked for B)
