public liabilty insurance for a club.

hi,

due to someone making a claim against the fishing club im secretary of, our insurers are not sure they will cover us in 14 days time (they could have told us this months ago and given us time to find a new insurer!) Where do other clubs get their insurance from? any help will be appreciated, we currently use AXA. Also do the NFA do any insurance?

The BASC (British Association for Shooting and Conservation) do a realy good insurance package of Free Public legal liability insurance cover for £5 Million for clubs and individuals. Although a shooting organisation the insurance covers most country pursuits INC fishing. For info on club membership tel 01244 573000. Hope this helps;)!

Arran, try Chris Ubee at Applegate Insurance Brokers on 01797-366377. You may already have seen him fishing at Wingham, which he does all the insurance for. Chris really knows his stuff and has found me some good rates.
