Hi JackPike

The short answer is the Ouse contains most species, and many of them of good size.

What would you like to catch, and is it just the Ouse or the ouse system in general that you want to fish.

You could try camping at Linton Lock.

Good fishing for bream, barbel, chub, roach, pike within the locks area, or slightly further downstream towards Beningbrough.

I'm about 12 months out of date with whats been happening in the area, but will try and get some better info for you if you can tell me what you want.

Hi JackPike

You need at least one session slightly downstream from there, where the Nidd joins the Ouse. Preferably from a boat.

Some enormous fish from there over the years. I even heard a fairly well authenticated tale of a 30 lber.
