To get away from the backwind/clutch thing Allrounder.

Have you not thought why your mate caught all the fish and had the most bites? Bet he was fishing downstream of you all!. That's the reason why I try to get the downstream peg and reap the rewards from all your mates/other anglers bait getting washed down to you plus less bankside disturbance. This constant trickle going past plus your own bait going in draws fish up and guess who is first in line?. ME of course

Yes -the downstream peg is usually the best one on a river for all the reasons stated but on the day in question we picked out some swims and drew straws for them - and the Allrounder drew the shortest straw!
