Pallington Lakes - Dorset

I've booked a day at Pallington Lakes next week for a day's fishing. Does anyone have any experience of the venue - any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm after the tench in the Tench lake.

Pallington gets a lot of mention in the local paper(http://www.thisisdorset.net), but that might be because the chap who runs it, writes the column!!

I fished there about 4 years ago. If my memory is working right, They have a trout lake, a specimen lake, a mixed lake and also a fairly large stretch of river (I think they allow camping and caravans too). I only fished the mixed lake for 24 hours and caught just carp. I say people catching a good mix of fish there though. The carp I caught were around the 8-9lb mark though i think there are some larger ones in there though. I remember the bloke fishing next to me caught an eel on sweetcorn.

 

Sorry I don't know anything about the tench there.
