The birds will take care of it for you if you let them. They will reduce fish stocks below the amount needed to sustain the birds and at that point will either move on or starve to death.

Personaly I think 'fish swappers' give yet another arrow to the anti's when disease and decimation set in ....

The only fish diseases that I know about, that are transferred when fish are moved, are those affecting carp.

 

Although parasites can be transferred to new waters by the introduction of other coarse fish from other waters.
