worn spigots

You can purchase a very good ' Graphite Spray ' from MAP i know from experience that it is a very good product. Or you could try the Maver Savers or Preston protectors although they are made for poles i should imagine they might work on spigotts if they aren't that worn. All you have to do is wrap it round and hold it over the steam coming from a boiling ketlle or the such (I already have the Maver Savers fitted on my Grim Reaper). You should be able to get all the products mentioned above from your local tackle dealer.

Mark, simply gently rub a candle up and down the male spigot a few times to apply a thin coating of wax. Should only need doing every two or three seasons. Like wise if you have spigotts that stick a little application with a SOFT pencil will do the trick ie adding a little graphite once or twice a season.

i tried the candle one alan and to be honest, this made them very slippery, worse than they were! is there a specific type of candle, because as iremember the one i used was a birthday candle
