I was told by Joe Taylor (J&K tackle) that the real money in the angling trade will come from carp and pole fishing.

These types of fishing can be conceived by some to be fashionable,the 'in' thing.

This can lead to mindless individuals with money to then buy the 'in' things.

These people have no concept of etiqutte and their behaviour can be deplorable.

But as I've said,they are individuals first,so called carp anglers second.

Hi Guys,

watching the flames fly across the ether made me think of one of your rugby captains who called the administrators a bunch of silly old farts. I must fall into the aministrators category. My carping tackle consist of 2 9wt graphite trout rods with modified buts(the wrists are not what they used to be) Match Arials circa 1985 (my Seldex centrepins wore out) 6lb bs mono etc. etc.

If you guys wan,t to know what on earth the etc,s are I will elaborate.

I am off for the week-end to do some carp-fishing from A BOAT.

LMAO @ Chris .. well mate although i do agree with a lot of what you say, sometimes you have to have the gear/bait to even the odds, I am a matchman and personally i couldnt do what these carp anglers do, long cold nights and not even a run weeks at a time...months sometimes depending on where they choose to fish, so give me a whip and some gudgeon and ill try to make the top 3 to pay for the bait .. but it was very good reading , certainly brightened up my day hehehehe!!! keep up the good work )
