I fished a 70 acre lake with a friend last weekend.

We've fished this lake before, but not this part.As we were packing away we both got out our marker float/rod and had a good plumb/lead about.(We had already done this very briefly on arrival)

After finding a gully I clipped up and wound in.

My mate took my rod,I held the lead,as he paced out the distance.(113yrds)

As he paced away with the clutch loosened off I put my ear to the lead.

What amazed me was I could here every click as clear as a whistle right to the end!(braided line)

My question is,could my buzzer be heard by the fish at the lead when I set up/switch on?(braided line)

Gaffer.

Hi,

Probably yes, I used to have a really good telephone when I was a kid made out of two tin cans and a piece of string......

Hi atomtubbie, good point, but did it work with a slack line and did it work under water?

Cheers,

Gaffer.

Hi Gaffer,

Doh, Umm no probably not so well with the slack line but sounds do travel very well under water so i'm inclined to think that it is a possibility.
