How about a get together?

Hi all, I live quite central in the UK, South Northamptonshire, between the M1 and M40.

I could organise a sort of fish in/get together.

Unfortunatly I don't have access to free fishing, but can arrange a day ticket still water containing a good mix of fish.

Although we all like to fish, I thought it would be good to get together and to put names to faces and have a good chat.

Who's interested and when would be a good date/time? (ie a particular weekend in Sept perhaps)

All the best,

Gaffer.

I'm game, as long as the carparking is a long way from water! River would be great.

Mid week is better for me, and I would suggest a social get together in the evening or at a BBQ or something.

Martin -- you haven't got an endorsement on your rod licence that says - RIVER FISHING ONLY - NO LAKES have you? You know how much I've put into barbel fishing in recent years don't you? Well this year I've fished for tench, carp, perch as well,in stillwaters, as well as for the big 'B' AND I'VE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! It's all fishing at the end of the day let's make the most of it.

Good point Gordon, and bearing in mind I caught loads of chub and a common yesterday, I must confess it was all good fun. Now look you've done it again, I've said the 'C' word!

What the hell count me in anyway!

Hi Guys,

why not be adveturous see the post elsewhere "crazy idea" at least the weather out here will be a lot more pleasant-lots of sunshine. I am off to pack the car and then driving 1600kms to a place called Cahorra Bassa towing a boat.

Going to catch tigerfish and vundu(catfish) as well as many other species.

Catch you later when I get back-no computers no phones and what a dream none of those horrible cellphones(mobiles) will work in the bush.

Regards,

Trevor
