River Soar

Can anyone please tell a novice what species catch well on the Soar in August and recommend the best method? Thanks,

Which part of the soar Eric?

We are down near Loughborough and it fishing very well. Bream are showing in a big way as are Barbel. If you have look at my web site there are some pic's on there. I'm just up dating it so there will be some pic's from last weekend on it.

Hi Scott; I'm not far from you at Sileby. Although I've fished on and off for many years my trips to the water have always been very few and far between; hence the novice title. I have fished near Cotes Mill on one occasion but when I go to the river it is usually to the Cossington Mill area. I'm a usless angler but I enjoy it. By the way, I like your web site.
