the lift method for the pole help!

depends what your fishing for ?

 

if its bream/tench/carp i'd use a big bait either meat or paste fished dead depth .so the bait cocks the float .

 

the float will either rise when they pick it up or sink as usual as they move off with the bait.

Not really sure if you can use the lift method on the pole. Maybe if there is no breeze, and you can hold it dead still it may work.

 

I tried it this morning with almost no breeze and the pole in rests, but even then there was still some drag.

 

My advice is to fish at least 4" over depth, bottom shot just off the bottom.
