North East Fisheries

Sporting Jester

Recommended Posts

Hello there, after taking a few years out from fishing and moving up to the north east, i appear to have become obsessed with this wonderful sport again. The problem is however, i have very little information on fisheries up here i am aware that that there is a fisheries list on here, but what i need is some more information and ones that are recommended, any info on Leazes Park and Marden Quarry would be welcome and any info on any rivers or lakes i would also like to hear about. Preferably in The County Durham and Tyne and Wear.

Well hope to hear anything. Cheers

Whittle dene - 10 miles west of Newcastle but closes at the end of October and opens in March. Great fishery though.

The Tyne is still quite patchy at times.

The Wear is said to be fishing great this year as is the Tees.

There is a great club in County Durham and I think its called ferryhill ac, they have loads of fishing.

Paul
