help - transport problem!

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I am returning to the banks after an extended absence on account of the fact that I am not allowed to drive at present. Does anyone know of fisheries that are accessible by public transport? I live in Nottingham and can get up to Colwick park but don't know of anywhere else. Looking for anywhere in the Midlands or north.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Tight lines,

Hi

What Gaffer has done is bumped your post to the top of the forum because you hadn't had any response.

It's a shame you are so far away I would have liked to help you, as I'm sure you could of helped me in some way.

All the best though.

nottingham u say!!! u can notch some superb flipdrops on heave if u drift a light one through wire and ive heard u can do that in bradford. unless u want to quick step the shimmy on the fly for half a cast but thats risky. stick to the bone raft and yellow rifters with a touch of grade 3.

What Harold is saying is that he can't help you either, or anyone else I'd say. :D

Nugg,

cheers and if you "bump" into gaffer before he reads this thank him too.

As for Harold; "Jargon is elitist, fishing is happiness eveyone should try it"! - i said that!

Know it was a long shot but worth a try.

Funny old world though, stood on platform at Chesterfield reading a fishing mag, got talking to a bloke because of it and he put me on to a cracking water! Not huge but managed half a dozen fish for a good days sport.

What would you rather be an angler or married?
