which bait

Hi all

just wandering if anyone could help me. I fish a small pool wich has a good head of fish tench 1-7lb carp 0.5-12lb grass carp average about 5lb a couple of ghosties and crucian to about 2lb. The problem i have is that the pool is stuffed with millions of small roach(wich are nice to catch but gets very boring after about the 50th in 50 casts))which eat or try to eat anything that falls in the water. No matter what bait i use i always get hassled by the small roach. I have tried using boillies, which they just suck on and give me false bites. Iv'e tried using 1" square pieces of meat or paste which they just suck at until theres nothing left.I have also tried to outfeed them but it just makes them even more hungry. Anyone got any tips on how to get through these smaller fish.carbon rods are banned so i cant fish to heavy co's of my flimsy fiberglass rod.
