Local lake comes back to life!

Today I fished my local lake for the first time in 4 months (foot and mouth and other lakes/rivers kept me from fishing it for a while )and to my complete suprise I caught 120 4oz roach in 2 half hours fishing on the whip. Of fishing this lake for the past 7 years it has never produced as many fish in such a short space of time. Im well chuffed to catch so much on a couple of maggots and a ball of ground bait so I am planing to go tomorrow again! Has any of your local lakes suddenly came back to life after a dormant period?
